Being (art)schooled #5: Texture
This week was all about texture.
The bottom piece of work was closest to what we were supposed to be doing, but its the one that I like the least.
The top piece is actually where I was drying my brush before working, with an india ink gesture still life drawing on top of it. I like it the most.
The middle is a happy medium between what we were supposed to be doing (creating texture with colour and technique) and what I liked, which was, in this case, contour drawing with the india ink.

About me
I am an education researcher and practitioner, with a focus on higher education and the environment. I consider myself, above all, a naturalist. I'm the pack-mate of two border terriers. I live within the Speed River Watershed in Guelph, Ontario. I enjoy photography. I lead nature tours across North America. I teach courses on Natural History. I likely spend too much time on the Internet.
Oh, and the opinions expressed here are wholly my own.
