Child saftey measures circa 1979, originally uploaded by Gavatron.

This is a photo taken of me sometime in the late seventies.

While I look like I’m enjoying my breakfast, the best part of this photograph is the corner-of-the-table protection installed.

What is that? A doubled up napkin and a piece of masking tape?

  1. There was no such thing as a moist towelette either. Young faces were always wiped with parent spit affectionately delivered by napkin.
