The hemipteran insects feed on the roots of plants and exude a sugary substance called honeydew that the ants then feed on.

This photograph was included today in weekly feature on BlogTO, whose name should tip you off as a local blog.
I’ve commented further on the photo there. I think it’s an interesting photograph because the subject is surprising rather than being a particularly good photograph.
Ollie is a new dog, now that we’ve finished stripping him.
